Duties of Real Property Specialist:

  • Update our GCS Program to reflect changes in ownership, boundaries, annexations, subdivisions and highways according the deeds recorded in the Register of Deeds office for each individual parcel described.
  • Research ownership, boundary, tax-related questions and provides answers to assessors, realtors, attorneys, abstractors, appraisers, prospective landowners, lending institutions, general public, municipal clerks and treasurers, County staff, County Treasurer and State personnel.
  • Reviews and maintains current information regarding new laws and regulations relating to the operation of the office.
  • Updates address changes as they occur and maintain physical addresses per 911 numbering system.
